Two lucky National Capital History Day participants are off to the Vimy Foundation Reception on March 31.
The names of all students who registered a project for National Capital History Day on or before March 13, 2015 were put into a draw. On March 14, 2015, the NCHD steering committee held a random draw and selected a name from those registered. And the winner of our random draw is …
Nam Hoang Chu of St. Paul Catholic High School! Not only does Nam get a ticket to the Vimy Reception, but so does his history teacher, Ruth Bouttell.
(Didn’t win and still want to go to the reception? You can buy tickets here.)
Nam also happens to be the winner of last year’s National Capital History Day Senior French Documentary category. (And watch out, he’s entering the Documentary category again this year!)
Congratulations to Nam and Ms. Bouttell. We’ll look forward to hearing their report about the Vimy Foundation Reception later this week.
And thank you to our friends at The Vimy Foundation for sponsoring this fantastic prize. If you’d like to learn more about the Foundation, you can do so at National Capital History Day — The Vimy Foundation will be represented in our Hall of History and will also be sponsoring an exciting workshop for student historians.
