Thanks to all the students who registered to participate in National Capital History Day — we’re excited to be welcoming schools from across the Ottawa region to our big day at Carleton University!
If you’re a student, please be sure that you have downloaded a rulebook before you put the finishing touches on your project. We’ve also created an exemplar page for you to get a sense of what’s expected in each category.
And if you’re a judge, we have just sent out email instructions to you that include a link to confirm your attendance and some details about the day. We will be in touch again on or before April 14 to provide more info about your specific judging assignment.
Organizers will be spending the next two weeks setting judging rosters and setting interview times for all student historians — it’s a big job given the number of students involved and the fact that we have well over 100 volunteer judges on board this year. We also try to take all our judges’ category and language preferences into consideration to make sure that just the right combination of people are evaluating each project.
Please continue to watch this site for more information about National Capital History Day 2015 — we’ll let you know about everything from parking to food to category info. And we’re happy to answer your questions, too — feel free to leave a comment on this site or simply send us an email query at ottawahistoryday [at] gmail.com. You can also follow us on Twitter, too.
