If you’re a teacher in an Ottawa-area high school, you’re invited to our second annual teacher info session this Friday, Jan. 8, 2016. It’s a great opportunity to hear what National Capital History Day is all about, meet teaching colleagues from other schools and find out how you can incorporate NCHD into your everyday classroom activities.
Check out a slideshow of last year’s info session, featuring images of some of our sessions plus a few happy teachers who won door prizes.
We’ll be serving a light breakfast before introducing you to our steering committee and then giving you information and tools that you can use to help your students get the most out of their National Capital History Day projects. We’ll supply lesson plans, take you through this year’s theme, provide exemplars and review everything you need to know before April 27.
The session takes place at St. Paul High School. Interested in joining us? Simply send an email to ottawahistoryday [at] gmail.com and we’ll help you get registered. The session is also open to parents who are home schooling.
